I wanted to try creating an image similar to the styling of a classic Penguin book design. It is was really fun working in a limited colour palette and restricting/simplifying the illustration to being a predominantly shape-based piece.
I might carry on and make an entire series!

This is really a classic! It's ironic how an entire generation of children can no longer relate to this image. I used to work in Singapore where they phased out the use of the blackboard 5 years ago! sigh.
